REMAGEN BRIDGE SEIZED Part 2
Description
U.S. troops, tanks, and trucks cross the Remagen Bridge after its capture by the 9th Armored Division. Trucks roll through the narrow streets of Remagen. Small boats and pontoon rafts are used to ferry infantry and equipment across the Rhine. German planes strafe and bomb the bridge from a low level; antiaircraft is fired to repel them. Welders reinforce the bridge, but it collapses into the water. The injured are removed using boats and block-and-tackle. Tanks cross the river on a pontoon bridge.
