Summary: 200' Soldiers and civilians coming off transport plane. Three sailors walking from transport plane. Fifth shot, showing several of the Nissen huts at the base. Men painting one of the huts. MS, stirring the paint, to man painting the roof. Lineman climbing up pole, then splicing wire. Int, men getting their food on chow-line. Men eating at tables in Nissen hut. Officers standing in room, in the back an Operations Board. An officer briefing several men. MARINE AND AIR FORCE FIGHTER HAMMER REDS.: Released 05/29/1951. 235' Scenes aboard carrier CV 37. Planes being spotted on deck. Several F9F jets catapulted from the carrier. Brief shots, locking toward the island structure. AVs, of planes in flight. AVs, showing direct hits on RR yard, vehicle concentrations, concentration of buildings. AV, as a direct hit is scored on a bridge. Direct hit on another installation. AVs of smoke over the area. Planes flying over mountainous territory. Bombs, including napalm, exploding, sending up huge cloud of smoke. (Note: Good action through film is very grainy, pictures are GSAP. Marine Corsairs and F9F Jets were used in the attack). MARINE REPLACEMENTS IN ROTATION PROGRAM.: Released 05/29/1951. 188' Veterans of the Korean line going aboard the transport which will take then to Japan and then home. MS, of the men, some smiling, as they go aboard the plane. HLS, as Marine replacements disembarks from air transport. Marine replacements going aboard a plane which will take them to the front. Replacements coming off plane and on way to another plane. MASS MARINE CORPS AND AIR FORCE FIGHTER BOMBERS HIT RETREATING REDS. KOREA - ARMED FORCES FTGE - DD REL 159-51 - REL 1 JUNE 51 - 391'. Marine Corps Corsairs and Air Force F-80s, thunderjets, take off from the field to burn out Red and North Korean near guard positions as the UN lines surge forward across the 38th. (30 April, 9th May). 105mm HOW being fired. LS, between trunks of two trees. Smoke over hillside. Bomb exploding in rear. Man in dugout on phone, shouts an order. Another man is standing next to him. Back to 105 gun crew. LS, hillside. CU, of Maj Gen Palmer (?) First Cav Div and another officer watch the action. One man fires a 57mm recoilless rifle. The man next to him seems to be a little upset. He brings his arm down as if to say "gosh darn". A 105 crew emplaced near the Queens palace, Seoul being fired. Cut-ins of smoke over hillside. LS, across fielded hills. In the distance a napalm bomb exploding. ELS, same position, a napalm bomb explodes and then several jets streaking up from behind explosion. (There are two bomb hits, in this shot). Follow shot, ELS, plane zooming past, firing rockets. LS, across the countryside, showing another napalm explosion. Napalm explosions on hill.
