Summary: AVs, of buildings at AF Base. Guard House at entrance. MS, a car comes by. MP salutes. Students, including nurses of the Army and Navy, file into lecture room. There is a Negro girl sitting with group. An officer before another chart. An officer lecturing on air and water movements. MS, a second officer explaining water movements on chart. Cut-ins, a girls listening, making notes. An officer lecturing on various pressures, illustrating his talk on blackboard. A woman officer explains inter- personnel relations. Cut-ins of some of the students in uniform; some Army, some Navy, asking questions. Back to woman Capt talking. Negro woman Capt, asking a question. Instructor gives girls oxygen masks to try on. A lt talks on anatomy. He uses a dummy figure with the heart, lungs, etc, set in sections so that they can be easily explained and identified. Several scenes on an urgency tooth- filling. The students in pressure chamber adjusting oxygen masks. Technicians turn on pressure. CU, pressure dials moving. Weather chart being explained. MS, two WACs looking at teletype reports in machine. Outside of bldg an officer explains and has some of the girls demonstrate different types of life-saving equipment. The Gibson Girl radio, which sends out distress signals, is demonstrated. Some girls with parachutes walking to plane. Inside the plane the girls learn how to stow their patients comfortably; tightening litter racks. Some of the girls double as patients during the trial. Girls at table. Caption says, preliminary to the final exams. CU, program,"The United States Air Force -0- Air University Graduation Ceremonies". The girls, in uniforms of different Services - there may be some foreign countries here, too - on way to graduation exercises. Col Robt J Platt, Commandant, speaks, and then a woman officer of the Flight Nurses' Corps pinning wings on graduates. CUs, girls getting their wings; also Negro girl. Girls filing out of chapel. Girls, waving their diplomas, smiling.
