Ints, C-47, pack animals in improvised stalls. CUs, soldiers inside plane construct stalls and load animals. LS, numerous C-47s on airfield are loaded with animals, taxi and take-off. CU sign on tower: "Myitkyina North Airfield." NOTE: The shipment of horses and mules was accomplished by Col P Cochran's 317th and 319th Air Sqdns. These Sqdns established an historical feat in being the first to fly pack animals across the Hump of the Himalaya Mts.
