Shots of soldiers and officers of the 64th Heavy Tank Bn, 3rd Inf Div, climbing up cargo nets to the deck of APA 45, USS Henrico. (Note some men coming up net are negroes.) MS, Capt coming up on deck from net. Looking out from ship, landing craft in harbor loaded with troops. HMS, an LCM loaded with troops hove to off ship. LS, burning equipment and supplies on beach. ERIS/RA LS, howitzer battery emplaced on the beach. Equipment burning in bg. LS , burning piles of equipment. RG 111 Four soldiers, one negro, sitting around a fire, eating. Several liaison planes are prepared for evacuation. Accession III-NAV-210 Men of the 39th FA9 at their gun. MS, RV, gun elevated sharply is fired. CU, man adjusts powder charges in the shell, puts top on - it probably came loose when unpacking. Several LVTs loaded with soldiers coming back from Pink Beach. LSs, soldiers wading through surf to LCVPs at Pink Beach. Tilt-up, tail end of explosion of ammo dump. The tilt-up is from a tank to great cloud of smoke forming. LS, fire on beach. Landing craft in fgo LS , from the water, huge explosions of the dock installations. Several ships in fg.
