Men wear ODs, garrison caps, and carry rifles. Pan from marching men to officers standing on field. They salute. CU, Marine Sgt telling little boy to wave to the camera, which the tot does. (Note: Parade scenes are not exactly sharp.) Group Shots, men (fatigues) on field watching a demonstration. At one point, some men jump slightly, probably a shell going off. MS, three men looking off to R of camera. They jerk their heads swiftly to the left. Group Shots, the same men sitting on the ground watching demonstration. In the bg, women marines seated on benches. Spectators appear very much interested. They jump slightly, blink, etc. M/Sgt explaining the rifle to eight women marines. He and the girls look on as he shows one of the women how to put arm through the strap and aim rifle. Busses coming into camp® They stop at checkpoint, MP steps into each bus and gives slip to driver; buses move on o CU, bus passing checkpoint and coming directly to camera and stopping. The vehicle is marked, "School Bus". MS, bus coming to stop and recruits, still in civvies come out and line up in front. LS, showing a portion of the grounds.
