Summary: LS, Canadian trucks lined up waiting for order to move out. CU, of metal cutout: "Canadian Brigade Maple Leaf Division". Canadian troops, carrying equipment, marching in single file twd and to l of camera on way to trucks. They pass men in several jeeps. Men starting to go aboard truck. LS, line of trucks loaded with Canadian troops starts to move out. FS, Canadians seated in truck as it passes by. Several men turn around and look at camera. TURKISH BRIGADE: 07/28/1951 and 07/28/1951: An observation post. Man in fg is at a BC scope. Profile View, man at BC scope. Another man standing directly behind him. In the bg, two other men at portable radio. CU, operator using walkie-talkie, speaking into phone. Turkish soldiers filling bags with sand. A Korean holds bag as Turk shovels dirt into it. MS, stacking sandbags in dugout overlooking enemy territory on top of OP. Two Turks finishing the setting up of a tent - it looks like a shelter half. Observer on phone, getting position. RV, man looking through BC scope; mountainous terrain in bg. A Turk records position in log. Turkish operator eating near dugout. Looking down hill, Turkish soldiers and Korean laborers carrying C-rations on "A" frames. FS, as Turks and Koreans carry rations up hill. RV, four men carrying C- rations up steep hill. Several Scenes, C-rations being opened and distributed. MLS, three men eating C-rations in front of tent. HMS, RV, machine gunners overlooking enemy territory. SV, two men at .30 cal air-cooled MG; another man with rifle in fg. MS, Turk aiming rifle. Two men at a .30 cal water-cooled MG covered by a corrugated tin roof. Turk Sgt on phone calling, so says caption, for arty. Another man is in fg. The same two men taking time out for a smoke. More men of 1st Platoon, Co 5, take smoke, smile, chat. Three men against embankment. Man in fg is holding a sub- MG. HS, of a tank, some men atop. Caption says American tank working with brigade. Turks fire l05mm HOW. CU, soldier giving command to fire, signalling with his hand. CU, man looks through sight. RV, as an adjustment is made. The trails of the gun are moved. Man gets new range. CU, soldier on phone. He is speaking, then he brings his hand down in signal. RV, as the HOW kicks back in recoil. CU, another man comes fwd with shell. Turks on chow line. MS, men receive American cigarettes on the chow line. CU, hand picking cigarettes out of carton. MCUs, Turks seated on the ground. They are all eating out of two mess kits, dipping their bread in the gravy. MLS, MS, RV, crew loading and firing l05mm HOW. Turk troops on half-tracks. Several of them pull out.
