Summary: Korean Gun crew firing l05mm HOW. MS, Maj Roy E Smith supervising as the men prepare shells. MLS, through bushes and trees, as the HOW is fired. (soft) MS, Maj Sherman R McGrew checking fire control data. He is looking at papers set up on drawing tables. CU, Maj Kwayyong Kang looking through binocs. CU, Maj Kang shouts orders to Korean HOW crew. Two men jack up the front of the HOW. bother man elevates the barrel and all the men rush back and stand behind the gun. They wear numbers on their shirts. (This entire seq is out of focus, except for CU of men getting jack underneath HOW.) Same crew putting the gun trails together, then standing at the gun. CU, Korean Sgt barking orders. Koreans looking into radio at outdoor class. CU, Korean officer speaking. On the above (arty school storv) most of the LSs are out of focus. Seq: Inf squad advancing through woods. Maj Joseph O'Leary is in charge. He is seen motioning to the men to move on, talking to them. Mortar class at control position. Maj O'Leary is the adviser. The men fire several rounds. HLS, rifle range. ML, MS, men on the range. CU, Korean aiming and firing rifle. American soldier is next to him and an officer, Lt Col Charles H Schroeder in charge. LS, targets on the range. LS, in the pit as targets are lowered and raised. SLATED 9 Sept: Chejdo: Koreans at a 30 cal MG. Koreans at another MG. CU, Korean on portable telephone. LS, Koreans seated on the ground. MS, CU, men around mortar. Maj O'Leary is instructing the men. CU, Korean sighting the mortar. Another man is next to him. Another class watches man aiming a BAR. #REMARK= Locations on Arty Training center story confused. Some slates bear the location Chinhae, some Chejdo, while the action obviously takes place in the same area,
