Description

Summary: MCU, pigeons in coop. A hand comes in and brushes pigeons aside. Int of coop, pigeons in individual coops. CU, putting message tube on pigeon's leg. CU, putting bird in small shipping container. Rear of truck which holds coop. Man, carrying a pigeon, comes out of truck. CU, as message tube is put on bird's leg. MS, the man opens the cardboard box, puts pigeon in it. This box is on top of another one which also holds a pigeon. CU, two pigeons sticking their heads out of container. Looking through opening of coop as pigeons fly out. A man in the back pushing the pigeons out. Man standing near tent releases a pigeon. LA, MS, of two pigeons on top of coop. FSs, flock of pigeons flying over the trees. MLS, man holding pigeon. He releases it; it flies to top of coop on vehicle. MLS, LAS, pigeons coming down and on coop. Three bird containers are put into jeep. LASs, of sign: "23rd Inf Regt, 2nd Div Second to none." S-2 and S-3 tent. Men are at tables writing. CU, man writing message in tent. Bird handler gets message, folds it neatly and starts for the bird. CU, as he folds message. MLS, CU, removes bird from container, puts the message in capsule attached to bird's leg. MLS and then tilt-up, as bird is released. LS, bird flying. MLS, MS, the same man takes a bird out of another box, folds his message and puts it in capsule, then releases bird. LS, and Pan, as the bird flies off. LAS, X Corps HQ sign. Longer Shot, the pigeon coops. Several birds on top. MS, man coming out of truck with bird. MCU, man takes message out of capsule attached to bird's leg and exits. The man, carrying the message walking into War Room. CU, sign: "War Room". LS, Korean, UN and US flag flying from poles on field.
