MS, the general with Lt Gen Manton S Eddy, CG Seventh Army, and Maj Gen Harlan N Hartness, CG, 14th Inf Div, enter the Officer's Club. MS, party leaves club. MS, Gens Eisenhower and Eddy enter car. LSF, the car crosses street. MLS, Gen Eisenhower in chow line (in woods) behind PFc Albert Perrinello, Battery, 20th FA Bn. MSs, general inspecting food being served. MLS, general gets out of car and Capt Shaw reports to him. MLSs, Gen Eisenhower and Capt Shaw inspect mine field by river with CO, 14th Div Engrs. MLS, MS, Gen Handy, Gen Eddy, Mr Roy Howard of Scripps Howard News Agency, and Gen Eisenhower. Gen Eisenhower enters car to leave. MLS, Gen Eisenhower and Gen Handy arrive at Sandhofen, Camp Y-79 and are greeted by Maj Gen Williston B Palmer, CG, 2nd Armd Div; Brig Gen Charles K Gailey, Asst CG, 2nd Armyd Div, and Col Emerson. MLSs, Gens Eisenhower, Handy, Eddy Palmer, Gailey, and Col Emerson inspect elements of 2nd Armd Div. MS, Gen Eisenhower talks to a soldier. MS, Gens Eisenhower, Handy, and Eddy get into cars. MS, the generals come to place where 14th Div Engrs (Combat) are transporting equipment across the Main River on raft.
