Summary: First C-47 lands at Kimpo after field is secured by UN Forces. MacArthur, dressed in parka and wearing smoked glasses, is greeted by Maj Gen Joseph S Kean, CG of the 25th Div. Gen MacArthur walking on airstrip with officer. Standing between two officers, he salutes. Inspects men of the 2nd Bn, Negro group. FS, general - he has removed his eyeglasses walking along the line of men. He stops to talk to one man. MS, the general pins the Silver Star on SFC Harden Walker. He congratulates Walker. General pins Silver Star on SFC McPheeters, Negro, and SFC Turner. Wonju, Korea: 02/20-21/1951: Gen MacArthur, wearing smoked glasses, and service cap, gets off plane. Shakes hands with Lt Gen Edward M Almond. Also in scene are Col Storey, and Gen Courtney Whitney. MS, MacArthur and Almond seated in jeep. The party getting out of jeep at 1st Bn 187 RCT. MacArthur, Almond, and the rest of the rather large party walking up partly snow-covered hill for a look at the front lines. GEN MARK CLARK.: Chungju: 02/21: Helicopter coming down to field.
