Description

Summary: Scenes of the building of bunkers and defenses along the English Channel. Mass of German troops marching. Hitler greets Mussolini getting out of plane. Meeting of Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin. Polish, Norwegian, and American soldiers. Gen Dwight D Eisenhower, Gen Bernard L Montgomery, and their staffs plan invasion. Mass of ships in channel. Planes drop depth charges to clear channel of enemy subs and ships. US supplies and equipment are unloaded from ships. Band plays as troopship docks. US troops march off ship. Night bombers take off and bomb German factories and strategic points. Trucks loaded with supplies and equipment move through streets in England. Tremendous distribution points showing huge piles of supplies and all types of vehicles. Searchlights spot German planes; antiaircraft guns fire. Mine sweepers and patrol ships protect the English coast. Planes patrol channel to keep German ships away. Various types of bombers take off. Mass of bombers in flight protected by fighter planes. German planes are fought off. Heavy bombings of every possible target in Germany.
