Summary: MLS, troops in full gear marching aiong road. MS, troops carrying barracks bags arrive at assembling area. MS, soldiers lay out equipment on field for inspection. CU, officers checking and examining equipment. MS, men picking up gear and putting it into barracks bags. MS, WACs marching past camera. MLS, troops assembled at embarkation area. MS, troops marching through passageway over which is a sign: "Through this passageway pass the best damn soldiers in the world". VS, soldiers carrying barracks bags walk up gangwayand board transport. CU, soldier with dog on leash walking up gangway. MS, transport moving out into harbor; troops waving and cheering. VS, troops relaxing on board ship. AV, transport headed out to sea; two girls on a bridge waving farewell.
