The carrier ENTERPRISE (CVAN-65), the cruiser LONG BEACH (CLGN-9) and the frigate BAINBRIDGE (DLGN-25), will depart the Mediterranean early in August and will return to their east coast homeports early in October after conducting training enroute. The three nuclear powered ships have been operating together in the Mediterranean as part of the United States SIXTH Fleet since May 13. M The Task Group is commanded by Rear Admiral Bernard M. Stream, USN, Commander, Carrier Division TWO, who flies his flag in ENTERPRISE. The itinerary will be announced when final planning has been completed.
