ROAD MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION IN ITALY Part 1

Description

Shows mud and floods that stall transportation and create road construction problems for Army engineers. Bulldozers clear drainage ditches and fill in ruts. Boulders are blasted and portable rock busters break rock that is spread for a roadbed. Italian civilian labor is recruited to help. A ford is constructed over a stream. Power shovels remove rubble from towns to be used for building roads.
