Description
Reel 1 shows training planes and hangars at Tours, Fr. The fuselage of a Nieuport is repaired. Cameras are mounted on a Sopwith plane; students take pictures. Pilots train with mounted machine guns, fire on a range, and place panel signals. Reel 2, students land. Col. Spaatz inspects aviators and mechanics. Sec. of War Baker; John D. Ryan, Chief of the Air Service; and Gens. Bliss, Harbord, and Pershing inspect airplanes. Firemen respond to a practice alert. Shows a wrecked Sopwith plane.
