Aboard the B-29 as it takes off. The entire reel shows the crew at their stations; the navigator, radio operator, pilots. The men working on weather charts, plotting course; flight engineer at the control board. Airman putting dropsonde in compression chamber, putting batteries in dropsonde, plotting dropsonde charts. Radar operator taking celestial compass reading, etc. (Note: The scenes are not mentioned in the exact order of appearance in film; also note, terrain can be seen through the ports at times.)
