House Armed Services Committee arrives in Taipei and observes a battalion of Nationalist Chinese troops in maneuvers (battalion in the attack). VS, airplane landing and ramp being moved into position. MS, Rep. Melvin Price, Chairman of the House Armed Services and Subcommittee, descending from the plane. MS, Maj. Gen. George M. Smythe, Chief of Military Assistance Advisory Group, Formosa, greeting the congressman and his Staff. CU, Smythe. VS congressmen and Staff filing by shaking hands with the greeting party. LS, two Chinese jets flying over area dropping napalm bombs. MS, Col. Wu, shaking hands with the congressmen and officers. CU, Price watching the demonstration thru binoculars.
