Description

Reel 1 shows snow-covered mountains and running streams. Russian troops scout the area, wade across rivers, and proceed along mountain paths. Reel 2, troops use rope and poles to cross a river. Men cross in groups to provide surer footing. An injured man is carried on a rope sling. Reel 3, troops anchor a rope at each side of a gorge, slide themselves and machine guns across the rope on slings.
