The search for a safer police pursuit tire Part 2
Description
Discusses the creation of a buyer's guide for police departments to help them determine tire requirements for police cars by the Law Enforcement Standards Laboratory of the National Bureau of Standards. The information in the book was obtained through performance testing of high speed police cars, a joint effort of the General Services Administration and NBS. All tests were conducted in Daytona Beach, Florida by North American Testing Company at the Daytona International Speedway. This included treadware tests, endurance tests, and traction tests of tires.
