Description

Detroit auto plants are retooled for war production. Autos move along an assembly line. Presses, forges, and other machine tools are moved from a factory and new machinery is installed. Airplane motor parts and propellers are made on drill presses and lathes. Shows other changes to wartime production: helmets for hub caps, cartridge shells for lipstick cases, etc.
