COOPERATIVE FISH CULTURE Part 3
Description
Shows work at several fish hatcheries operated by the Bureau of Fisheries. At White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, rainbow trout are sorted, eggs are removed and fertilized, and new trout are hatched. At Nashua, New Hampshire, fish are selected, weighed, and shipped by train to Turtle Lake, Mich., for growing. At Myersdale, Pa., and Watertown, N.Y., citizens help Bureau personnel carry young fish from rearing troughs to streams.
