ROMANCE OF PEARL CULTURE IN JAPAN Part 1

Description

Shows how pearls are cultivated at the pearl fisheries on Gokasho Bay of Ise owned by Mr. K. Mikimoto. Oysters in a controlled habitat for ten years develop pearls in a method perfected by Mr. Mikimoto. Consists almost entirely of scenes showing laborers and technicians performing duties in connection with this work.
