Footage of the Training of Nationalist Chinese Troops Part 7

Description

This film contains unedited silent footage taken at the OSS training camp #1 located in the Chungking area. The initial sequence shows supplies being loaded at an airport in Calcutta. Included are scenes of the airport, control tower, and air views of flooded and mountainous terrain in India. Sequences on training of nationalist troops at camp #1 include: open air class in weapons study; troops at firing range; simulated battle training; calisthenics; practice in defense of barracks area; practicing semaphore; and forced march in field. Additional sequences show rice harvesting between Kanshien and Nigtu; repairing bridge over Shik Sana River; and ferrying truck over river fifty kilometers northeast of Kienyang, Fukien Province.
