SUMMARY: Reel 1: VS, cloud formations taken from a plane flying above clouds. Seq, Plane descends to a low altitude and numerous aerial views of the town of Nuremberg are seen. Another transport plane flying at low altitude. VS, huge crowds and long lines of people marching in the streets photographed from low flying plane. Seq, transport plane lands on airfield. Hitler and Goebbels step out and are greeted by cheering crowds. TS taken from behind Hitler's car as it moves through the streets. Hitler, standing in car, waves to the crowds that line the sidewalks. MS, MCU, Hitler's car comes to a stop as a woman and child rush out to hand him a bouquet. VS, Hitler's car reaches a hotel and Hitler is warmly greeted by high officials, a guard of honor and delirious crowds. Reel 2: MS, Hitler at window of hotel acknowledges ovation of the crowd. NS, taken in front of hotel showing streets and town square jammed with people carrying torches. CU, brilliant electric lights on front of hotel with two electric signs: one reads "Heil Hitler," the other is in the shape of a swastika. LS, military band plays in front of hotel as Hitler, at window, salutes cheering crowds. Numerous shots of the town of Nuremberg - some taken from the air, some from street level, and some from the canal. AV, tremendous camp site for all military who attend the Nuremberg rally. Seq, activities of camp: Youth's dressed in shorts, some naked to the waist, beating drums, washing, shaving, cleaning shoes, etc. Reel 3: Full screen views, Hitler Youth shaving, washing each other, showering, pushing wagon of wood to mess area, cooking food in huge vats, and being served meal consisting of frankfurters and noodles. (The supervision of the camp is under adults belonging to a military or political organization of the Nazi party.) VS, Hitler youth in camp site playing rough games. CUs, laughing faces of the boys. VS, men and women peasants fromvarious provinces of Germany marching along streets, wearing their respective and distinctive gala costumes. Excellent scenes, procession along street, children and women dressed in colorful costumes; thousands of people watching from sidelines. VS, Hitler congratulating costumed civilians. Reel 4: (NOTE: This reel has a double image throughout.) CU, face of woman in costume. VS, Hitler inspecting youth guard of honor. VS, Hitler in car travelling along street. Hess is in car with Hitler. CU, Rudolph Hess talking to Nazi organization in an extremely large assembly hall. CU, Adolph Hitler, Herman Goering, Wilhelm Goebbels, and Admiral Erich Raeder. LS, MS, fanatic ovation from the crowd after Hess delivers his speech. CU of the various Party leaders making speeches to the crowd, among them: Wagner, Alfred Rosenberg, Dietrich, and Fritz Todt. Reel 5: CU of the following party leaders making speeches, among them are: Reinhardt, Darre, Julius Streicher, Robert Ley, Hermann Frank, Goebbels and Hierl. CU, Todt Organization flag. MS, Hitler and Hierl step to podium and view actions of thousands of members of Todt who carry shovels. The men pledge themselves to Hitler by saluting and presenting arms with shovels. CU, various members of the Organization chanting and answering questions of their leaders. Reel 6: CU, MS, Victor Lutze addressing group in huge outdoor stadium. Pan, torchlights flood stadium as Victor Lutze addresses Labor Bn troops. VS, fireworks and bonfire at rally. Full screen view, Lutze seated among the Labor Bn troops. CU, bugle. Fade in to CU, drum. MCU, young drummer beating the drum. Pan, other youthful musicians playing their instruments. VS, youths cheer arrival of Hitler and staff including Goebbels and Hess. LS, Pan, column of German flags on long poles. Full screen view, youths with hands raised in salute. CU, various Nazi leaders including Von Brauchitsch, Hitler and youthsattending rally. LHS, stadium filled with Labor Bn troops. In big letters "SAAR" outlined and formed by the people occupying the stadium seats. Reel 6A: VS, Hitler and Hierl on podium. CU, Labor Bn member chanting questions to the troops. VS, Nazi flags carried by Labor Bn members are lowered to the ground. LS, Full screen views, Labor Bn members presenting arms with shovels. MS, CU, Hitler addressing the troops. CU, troops listening to Hitler's speech. Full screen view, Labor Bn members with shovels on shoulders marching toward camera. CU, youthful drummers. Pan to other members of the band. Full screen view, young children with hands raised in Nazi salute await arrival of Hitler. Seq, Hitler arrives at stadium with Hess, Goebbels and others. RV, young boy straddling high pole raises his hand in Nazi salute. VS, Hitler salutes youths. LS, youths returning salute. Pan, Nazi flags on pole waving in breeze. MLS, Hitler, Goebbels and others on podium. Reel 7: VS, introduction of Hitler to assembled youths. Cut-in, faces of youths listening. VS, cheering youths. HS, Pan, many, many youths at stadium. CU, Hitler addressing the young Nazis. TS taken from automobile rolling inside stadium showing the multitude of assembled youth raising arms while car passes. Hitler and Goering and high German officers at cavalry and artillery parade. Dusk shots, thousands of German flags and banners on parade in stadium. LS, silhouetted, Hitler makes speech to large crowd in stadium. (Large illuminated eagle is behind Hitler.) Reel 8: Dusk shots, German banners flying in huge stadium. VS, Hitler addressing troops from high platform behind which hangs a huge eagle and Nazi emblem in neon lights. CU, eagle and emblem. MS, Hitler making forceful speech in torchlighted stadium. VS, torchlight parade of troops in stadium. Silhouetted shots, Hitler giving Nazi salute. CU, Tilt from huge German eagle and swastika to extremely LH, Hitlerwalking up aisle between long rows of soldiers in stadium to three tall columns, each of which is covered with a swastika pennant. (Hitler walks up aisle of Nuremberg stadium with Himmler and Lutze. CU, swastika carved in stone. Reel 9: VS, Hitler, Himmler and Lutze walk down long aisle between columns of troops gathered in Nuremberg stadium. Excellent scenes, ceremonies at Nuremberg showing Hitler and thousands of soldiers in a stadium wherein a great number of flags are carried and flown. Full screen view, SS troops goose-stepping. CU, Himmler. CU, Victor Lutze introduces Hitler to audience at Nuremberg stadium. CU, MS, Hitler delivers forceful speech to huge crowd of stormtroopers, Gestapo and other political organization members in vast stadium. Excellent scenes, flag bearers all present arms with flags. Followed by Hitler pledging each flag bearer to the Nazi flag. CU, large gun is fired in salute to ceremony. VS, Hitler in car traveling through streets of Nuremberg as civilian populace leans from windows to cheer him. Banners and decorations float from all buildings of the city. Excellent scenes, German SA troops marching in street passing before Hitler who stands in his car. Reel 10: Excellent scenes, goose-stepping Nazi Labor troops parade in streets of Nuremberg. Hitler, standing in car, salutes each unit as they pass. CU, German high command including Hitler, Raeder, Goering, Hess, General Von Brauchitsch and others. CU, Hitler's arm extended in Nazi salute. Pan to face of Hitler. Excellent scenes, various Army Corp units, MSKF, Women Driver Corps, and Hitler youth passing in review before Hitler standing in open car. Cut- ins, populace leaning out of windows watching review. Various parade scenes: Himmler leads Gestapo troops, greets and shakes hands with Hitler. Soldiers carrying pick-axes pass in review. Interspersed between parade scenes are various shots of civilian populace watching paraders. Reel 11:VS, German army parading in goose-step fashion through streets of Nuremberg. Full screen views, civilians saluting passing troops. MS, Hitler, standing in car, reviews goose-stepping troops. Himmler stands directly in front of car and reviews passing SS troops. MS, General Von Bloomburg saluting in military manner as troops surrounding him give Nazi salute. CU, illuminated German eagle. Dramatic scenes, follow shots, RV, Hitler, followed by Hess and staff, walks the full length of auditorium crowded with troops and civilians. Excellent scenes, a long processIon of soldiers, each carrying a banner representing a different province, marches down the aisle and past Hitler as he stand on dais. CUs, Hess introduces Hitler. Various CUs, Hitler, Hess, Goebbels, Goering, Himmler and others. Reel 12: VS, Hitler making forceful speech to huge gathering in a large auditorium. VS, people listening to and applauding Hitler. CU, Hess speaking to people and then saluting Hitler. VS, entire populace singing while standing and saluting Hitler. CU, large Nazi emblem.
