Description

SUMMARY: Russian Front: In spite of snow and frigid weather, our troops are active all along the Front. General Messe, Commander in Chief of the Expeditionary Forces, inspects repair shops behind the front lines. At the beginning of the thaw, streets and fields become a sea of mud. Engineers reinforce bridges or build new ones. Northern Africa: Activities all along the battle line. Airborne troops land on isolated emergency airfields built by the British on the desert; paratroopers destroy gasoline and munition dumps. Raid on Malta: Scenes of air-raid over Malta. Results of this bombardment can be seen.
