On the German World War II conquest of France. Reel 1, Part 1, Ger. planes bomb Le Havre at night. Part 2 maps the Ger. attack on Rouen and Le Havre and shows war ruins in Amiens and vicinity. Part 3, Ger. Army units advance in the Somme region, artillery bombards Fr. positions, and Ger. tanks and other units move through the ruins of Fecamp and St. Valery. Shows destroyed Fr. tanks and Fr. POW's. Part 4, shows war ruins in Rouen. Part 5, Gers. give food to Fr. civilians. Part 6 shows Fr. POW's at work. Part 7, Hitler reviews troops. Maps the Ger. attack on Paris and shows Ger. artillery firing, Ger. inf. and motorized units advancing through Fr. villages. and destroyed Fr. fortifications and tanks. Reel 2, Fr. and other allied soldiers surrender. Shows the World War I battlefield at Compiegne, the railway car in which the World War I armistice was signed, and destroyed and abandoned Fr. war material. Ger. troops battle their way through a village, construct a bridge, cross the Aisne as Gen. von Brauchitsch looks on, charge Fr. positions amid the burning ruins of Tagnon, cross the Marne on rafts, and advance on Paris. Fr. prisoners march to the rear carrying their wounded. Shows Ger. Gen. Specht and views of Paris. Ger. soldiers unfurl a Nazi flag atop the Eiffel Tower and march past the Arc de Triomphe.
