Description

SUMMARY: Reel 2: Group of Russian naval officers aboard the Admiral's warship receive sealed orders. Captain of a destroyer stands on the bridge, then walks down to his cabin where he opens and reads his orders. Submarine U-234 commander reads his orders, then comes out of the hatch and stands on the bridge of the submarine. A fishing schooner is sighted. The submarine pulls closely alongside. Captain on the bridge of his destroyer talks to his aide. They sight the schooner and pass it very closely. Captain and his aide attend a conference in the Admiral's quarters. The officers leave and board a launch. Scenes of destroyers and launches stand alongside Admiral's ship. Captain of cruiser is relieved of his command. Excellent scenes of destroyers, battleships and cruisers - pass camera individually and in formation. Night shots, machine guns and anti-aircraft guns as they fire at seaplanes. Reel 5: Conversation between officers on the Admiral's ship. Silhouette scenes of destroyer in the harbor. Excellent scenes of approximately seven submarines tied up at the dock. Cruisers, destroyers and battleships alongside dock in the harbor. Admiral and staff move from one ship to another, finally stopping at a salvage ship where they find the cause of the sinking of one of the U-boat. The diver comes up with a officers cap, proving that the captain who was relieved of his command is innocent. Reel 7: The fishing schooner's Captain gives the word and the schooner is transformed into a modern yacht as a means of disguise. The Russian spy aboard the schooner is caught and locked in a cabin below deck. LS, floating drydock with diver tender alongside. Diver comes to the surface with a large metal box. Meeting is held between the Captain and the Admiral. Captain's rank and ship are restored and Captain returns to duty. Reel 8: Scene, cruiser leaving harbor. Night scene, cruiser at sea. The modern yacht is spotted.Cruiser pulls alongside. Search party is detailed aboard yacht. Search party discovers transformation of ship and fight begins. Search party held captives aboard yacht. Reel 9: Russian submarine rises from water spots burning ship. Goes below surface to follow action taking place aboard yacht. When submarine resurfaces, the yacht is now equipped to fire upon submarine and does so and submarine is sunk. One of the submarine crew members volunteers to attempt rise from sunken sub. Reel 10: Cruiser prepares to fire upon yacht and yacht captain raises surrender flag. Ceremonial scenes in harbor await returning cruiser.
