SUMMARY: View of Yung-Ting River and riverbank in vicinity of Peiping, China. Japanese troops prepare crossing of Yung-Ting River south of Peiping; remove their uniforms and equipment, assist horses in movement across river. Japanese naval troops in life boats lower themselves from battleship and move across harbor of Hai-Chou. Landing party of Japanese marines climb shoreline steps leading to lighthouse on Ch'e-Niu-Shan Island. Japanese troops cross stream and advance through jungle-type terrain on Yang-Hang-Chen. LS, Japanese artillery and machine gunners in action along Yang-Hang-Chen. Seq, Japanese tanks roll along roadway, machine gun crews move forward and set up new positions and open fire upon city. Pan, heavy artillery under camouflage nets. LS, city of Yang-Hang-Chen in flames. CU, buildings as flames demolish them. HS, city, flames in background. Pan, damaged buildings. Int view, Japanese infantrymen with fixed bayonet hold Japanese infantry flag and enter building through open wall. LS, government building. MCU, troops stand outside of building and wave guns and flags in "banzai" salute. Tanks roll forward in advance of Chiang-Wan.
