Description
This video recording documents the development of a fetal monitor through the cooperation of the University of California, San Francisco Fetus Treatment Center and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Ames Research Center. The similarities in the closed, remote, inaccessible environments of both space and the womb enabled space scientists to tailor their sensors to monitor heart rate, temperature, etc., for fetuses whose health was imperiled.
