This film depicts the rise of Fidel Castro; the transformation of a liberal-democratic revolution into a communist-type dictatorship with political, military, and economic ties with the USSR and Red China; and the threat posed by Castroism to Latin America. The film is based on the State Department's "White Paper" on Cuba.
