This film shows President Nixon's remarks on May 2, 1972 following the death of J. Edgar Hoover; flags flying at half-mast; views of federal buildings and Hoover's home in Washington, D.C.; brief scenes of FBI training courses; and footage of J. Edgar Hoover in life, including an excerpt from his remarks at the White House on May 8, 1964 on the occasion of President Johnson waiving Hoover's mandatory retirement requirement.
