My Trip Abroad - 1951 Part 3
Description
As a working newspaper columnist, Eleanor Roosevelt wanted to see for herself the progress the Europeans had made in rebuilding their economies through their own efforts and with the help of the Marshall Plan. This film reports on Roosevelt's visits to Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Holland, France, and England in the summer of 1950. She finds ample evidence of successful national initiatives and American aid money well-spent, but also problems that must yet be solved. A Marshall Plan film, produced by March of Time, New York, for ECA.
