The Sound and the Story Part 3
Description
This film shows how phonograph records from recording sessions are made, and features a symphony orchestra playing classical music, after which the pre-mastering, pressing, and packaging processes are described. The techniques are illustrated by an actual RCA recording of Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet," performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and directed by Charles Munch. The film was presented by RCA Victor and produced by the Jam Handy Organization (JHO).
