Cowboy Part 1

Description

This Oscar-nominated short film tells the story of the day-to-day existence of a working cowboy through the experiences of contemporary cowpuncher Bill Bailey and his family on a ranch in Tehachapi, CA. Narrated by the Baileys, the film reveals the hard work, simple pleasures, and profound rewards of cowboy life. By living in the open and close to the land, the cowboy retains the individuality and self-reliance of his forebears. Musing upon his past, his family, and his daily chores, Bill Bailey also explains why he chose the cowboy lifestyle and what it means to him. The film was directed by Michael Ahnemann and produced by Gary Schlosser.
