Titans of the Big Top Part 1
Description
This film traces the history of the circus and examines its impact on society through generations of people for whom the circus is an important annual event. The circus is shown as far back as the times of George Washington, who donated a horse to America's first circus. Through the years, the circus has endured both economic and natural perils, but has ultimately survived, and is now more popular than ever. The film features the Flying Gaonas — world-famous aerialists from Mexico — who relate the importance of the family in circus history and tradition. Interviews with clowns and other performers provide additional viewpoints.
