Description
A bituminous macadam road is constructed. Bituminous asphalt is spread upon the road bed, chipped stone is added, and an additional layer of hot asphalt is spread. Shows how bituminous paving products (asphalt and tar) are tested. Includes shots of the Lincoln Highway, the Columbia River Highway, and Broad Street in Philadelphia.
