Description
On managing deer in the Kaibab Nat'l Forest. Reel 1 shows parts of the forest, mule deer grazing, a Kaibab squirrel, a buffalo herd, dead trees and shrubs caused by overgrazing, deer dead from starvation and disease, a coyote (?) killing and eating a deer, a cougar, and scientists studying the herd potential of the forest. Reel 2, deer are trapped at water holes and transported to other areas. Children and fawns play. Maps show regulated hunting areas; hunters check in at a ranger station and are guided to an unrestricted area. A mountain lion is trapped. A trap is set for coyotes. Shows deer and the forest after the overgrazing problem has been conquered.
