Description

Shows the establishment of an agricultural colony (Arkansas Colony No. 1) under the auspices of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. Men selected from relief roles clear land, dig wells, build houses, work on community roads, and produce lumber in the colony's sawmills. Emphasizes that the farmsteads established in the colony can be purchased by the tenant farmers.
