GAME BIRD FARMING Part 1

Description

Shows wild turkeys in flight and the last of the heath hens (extinct). Describes game bird diseases such as quail disease, blackhead, fowl pox, tapeworm, and gapeworm. Types of birds raised on game bird farms include the various species of pheasant, the Hungarian partridge, the prairie chicken, the ruffled grouse, and the valley quail. Describes how game birds are bred and hatched on a game bird farm. Shows quail being hatched and later being released to restock a depleted area.
