Summary: (Photo'd by USAF Cameramen). Reels 1-3: Motion picture footage taken at Buchenwald and Dachau Prison Camps immediately after their liberation, April 1945. Included are scenes of men and children prisoners (posed), entrance to Buchenwald, high angle of prison area, bodies of prisoners scattered over area, prisoners loading onto wagons and carts, bodies and human bones on pile, open crematory; Weimar townspeople viewing prisoners, bodies, and atrocities; prisoners cooking and eating, children who were interned in the camp with their I.D. cards; torture weapons, wooden mallet noose, shrunken head, lamps and tattooed pictures made of human skin, parts of bodies preserved in jars of alcohol; prisoners stripped to display emaciation and deformation. Personalities included are: Mrs. Walter Warnstedt, hangman's wife; Max Diamond, and Frau Koch, wife of SS Commandant of Buchenwald. Good (Basic: Dup neg)
