Description

Summary: The B-52 with X-15 attached in flight with chase planes in and around scenes; the X-15 drop and in flight leaving contrails. MS (front camera on B-52) X-15 under wing of B52, while in flight. Only front part of X-15 is seen. Pilot's head can be seen in X-15 Chase plane (F-100) enters scene several times; X-15 drops from wing of B-52. 234' MS, (rear camera on B-52) X-15 under wing of B-52 while in flight showing tail of X-15. X-15 fires up engine several times, then a/c drops from wing of B-52, leaving vapor trails. 431' MS-LS (camera mounted under B-52). X-15 flies out of scene leaving vapor trails as chase plane enters scene. 451' Leader. 456' CU (rear camera on B-52) tail of X-15, while in flight X-15 is mated to wing of B-52. X-15 drops from wing of B-52 and starts its powered flight. 556' MS-LS (camera mounted under B-52) X-15 as it drops away from B-52.
