Coverage of joint USAF - Navy participation in construction of air base at Phu Cat. Shows arrival of men and equipment, truck convoy en route to site, erection of early facilities including mess hall and water purifier and airmen and sentry dogs patrolling perimeter. 1) AV's of base area before construction begins, then during construction. 2) Scenes of equipment and building materials being offloaded from LST. 3) Scenes of convoy moving down muddy road -- shows one truck being towed. 4) AV of convoy moving down road. 5) Troops being briefed on duties after arrival. 6) Scenes of mess tent being erected and airmen being given flight lunch boxes. 7) Scenes of cooks preparing food -- shows chow line going through tent. 8) Airmen operating mobile generator and water purification unit. 9) Scenes of bulldozer clearing ground and men digging emplacements for perimeter guards. 10) Airman and sentry dog patrolling perimeter. 11) Officers and non-coms checking drawings.
