Covers the arrival of a partially disassembled A-10A via a C-124C at Edwards AFB, California. Shows the offloading of the fuselage, wings and engines; civilian technicians start in to reassemble the A-10A. Reel 1 - 0' ROLL: 426. 1) Series of scenes of several civilians offloading rollerized dolly containing the fuselage of an A-10A from a parked C-124C. 2) Series of scenes of several civilians pushing the dolly with the fuselage from the ramp into a hangar. 103' ROLL: 428. 3) Series of scenes of civilians offloading a dolly with the wings of the A-10A mounted, a civilian pulling the dolly into a hangar with a tug. 4) CUs of parked C-124C with front cargo doors open and the loading ramps extended. 5) Series of scenes of civilians offloading the tail unit and engines of the A-10A from parked C-124C, civilian forklift operator lifting the pallet containing the engine and driving to hangar. 6) CUs FV, C-124C parked and the loading ramps being extended through the open cargo doors. 7) Civilian using a tug with a chain attached to pull a pallet down the cargo ramp, other civilian guiding pallet. 513' ROLL: 429. 8) Series of scenes of civilian technicians placing the A-10A wing box under the hoist suspended fuselage of the A-10A, and lowering the fuselage into place over the wing box. 682' Total footage in reel.
