Description

Covers Confederate Air Force Airshow '76 featuring flying examples of World War II aircraft in reenactments of events during World War II from the Pearl Harbor attack to the A-bomb drops. NOTE: All Confederate Air Force aircraft carry civil registration, and many are modified (i.e. two-place conversions, armament/turrets removed, non-regulation paint schemes). Use of this aircraft is limited for World War II stock footage; however, scenes that could possibly be used with little or no editing have been identified by an asterisk. In addition, the aircraft are not identified by branch of service, and the "Japanese" aircraft (Zeros, Kates and Vals) are replicas remade from US aircraft (T-6s, BT-l3s and a lot of fiberglass). 1/4" mag tape has commentary by astronaut Joseph Engle about the CAF aircraft and SFX of aircraft taking off and in flight including T-6s, P-5ls, B-25s, P-47, and P-4Os (marginal quality).
