Surefootin' Part 2
Description
This film emphasizes the importance of safety when riding a skateboard. It begins by showing children as they rode skateboards on sidewalks. One child fell off of his skateboard and the board went underneath a car. It is then explained that safe skateboards must be well-constructed with no cracks. Pads, gloves, and helmets must be worn at all times and stretches to warm up (before riding) were suggested. The film warns that riding on sidewalks is dangerous because cars cannot see skateboards coming as they move in and out of driveways, and it is suggested that the best place to skateboard is on smooth surfaces and places without car traffic.
