Description

1) HS Looking forward over main deck of USS MASSACHUSETTS during typhoon in which 95 knot wind provided, tainous seas break over bow, entire foredeck, numbers one & two turrets obscured by spray.2) HS Looking aft on USS MASSACHUSETTS showing wreckage of OS2Us & launching catapult.3) HS Looking forward showing mountainous waves breaking over bow, damage to 40mm gun sponsons.4) CU Anemometer spinning wildly.5) MS Gun crew bails out sponson for 20mm gun.6) LS CV underway (hazy).7) HS Looking aft as main battery is fired.8) MS Two BBs underway in line of bearing, firing main batteries.QUALITY: GENERALLY GOOD.
