Description

1) CU CAPT. BEACH, Commanding officer of the TRITON, ON the periscope; the periscope is raised; the captain takes bearings and views a ship while off the Philippines during the around the world cruise. VG2) CU CAPT. BEACH at the scope; he backs away and the scope is lowered; he gives a new bearing to the navigator and orders a course change.3) ECU Periscope is raised; the Captain looks thru it and then it is lowered. G4) MCU The conning tower plot; the navigator taking tangents given by the captain and records them in the book.5) MCU Same as before. GtoF6) CU The navigator marking a course change on the navigator"s chart. G7) MCU Navigator plotting the TRITON"s position on the navigational chart. G8) CU Navigator using a divider as he works out a new position for the TRITON on the chart.9) CU Navigator reading the slide rule and recommending a course change; he works on the chart (SV). GtoF10) ECU The radio speaker in the conning tower. G11) CU The helmsman at the TRITON"s controls. G12) CU The Executive officer, Capt.
