1) CU Crew manning rail. G2) MS Officers and crew await the arrival of the PRESIDENT GARCIA. G3) MS PAN JOHN D. HICKERSON, US ambassador to the Philippines, coming aboard the USS SWORDFISH (SSN-579) and being greeted by VADM. GRIFFIN and LCDR R.S. LEDDICK (Captain of the sub).4) CU HICKERSON speaking to GRIFFIN on deck at dock in Manila. VG5) MS Battery of photographers on dock; PAN, PRES. GARCIA steps aboard and is greeted by GRIFFIN, and LEDDICK. G6) LA MS GRIFFIN and others on bridge while underway.7) HA CU GARCIA at the control wheel of the USS SWORDFISH while underway. G8) CU GARCIA and GRIFFIN and some of the Philippine staff conversing on deck; this is upon return to Manila Harbor after a day at sea. G14) MS GARCIA"s staff officer boarding the sub. G15) CU HICKERSON steps from sedan onto the dock. G16) MS HICKERSON boarding sub and greeted by GRIFFIN and ship"s officers. G17) MS Sub tied up to the pier. G18) HA MS Official sedans arriving; sideboys await the President; he goes between the sideboys, followed by his officer; PAN, A CU of the President as he boards the sub. G19) HA MS GARCIA greeting GRIFFIN and HICKERSON and other officers. G20) MS The sub backs away from pier for a day at sea with the VIP"s. (SV) G21) MLS The sub underway in the harbor. G22) CU Several US naval military and Philippine civilians on the dock awaiting the return of the sub (SV). G23) CU The sub easing up to dock to tie up after a day at sea. G24) MS The dock line handlers tying up the sub. G25) CU Civilians on the dock. G26) ECU A Philippine naval officer waiting on the dock. G27) MS Sub ties up. G28) MLS A boat landing lined with civilians. G29) MS GARCIA preparing to leave the sub. G30) MS GARCIA and party walking thru the sideboys after disembarking from sub. G31) MS GRIFFIN disembarks. G32) CU GRIFFIN conversing with GARCIA on the dock. G33) CU GARCIA and GRIFFIN and party at mike on the dock; group applauds after GARCIA finishes a short speech. G34) MS INTERIOR: GRIFFIN conversing with GARCIA in wardroom of the sub during the one day cruise. G35) CU GARCIA (rear view) receiving a plaque from USS SWORDFISH by GRIFFIN.
