Description

1) CU Research bell painted a bright yellow on dock are aboard a barge. G2) ECU Research bell; PAN to rounded end of bell. G3) CU Worker aboard the barge; PAN off to another worker handling cables on deck; PAN to two civilians talking on deck of barge; PAN off to research bell on deck.4) ECU Man standing next to research bell. F5) CU Words: "Recoverer, International Underwater Research Corp., Providence, R.I.".6) CU Research bell aboard barge; personnel on board. F7) MCU Looking out over deck of barge to bell; workers on deck handling hosesand lines. F8) ECU Two personnel on board barge. F to P9) CU Research bell being lifted by sling. G10) CU Bell lowered two blocks, just a short distance from where it was hoisted.11) CU Men working around bell; one man opens main hatch door (man is MR RAYMOND EDWARDS) climbs into bell for final check-up of all equipment; hatch door is left open. G12) MCU Small tug towing bell on a barge enroute to M-2 buoy just off Jamestown Island in Naragansett Bay; PAN with barge. G to F13) MS Barge with bell aboard, being towed out to M-2 buoy. FtoP14) MS Bell aboard barge.15) CU Barge arriving at M-2 buoy; PAN with barge with bell aboard. G16) MS M-10 buoy with barge alongside; PAN across front of barge. G17) CU Looking down over dials and switches (this is interior of bell). G to F18) ECU Microphone inside of bell; PAN down past one of the ports. G to F19) CU Divers getting ready as bell is hoisted over side; men are in wet suits with tanks; men are standing by in case of trouble while lowering of bell. G20) CU Bell lowered over side from barge. G21) MS Diving bell going over side of barge toward water; group of men stand on deck of barge in FG.22) CU Looking down over surface showing shadow and shape of bell disappearing beneath surface.23) CU Diver on edge of barge with camera; man is a former navy photographer stationed with the Atlantic Fleet camera party, Newport, R.I.; diver gives the ready signal, jumps into water with his camera, pops back to surface. G24) CU Looking out over water showing diver disappearing below surface of water; PAN over to hook at surface of water. G to F25) CU Looking down over surface of water showing bubbles coming up from depth. G to F
